A New Arsenal?

Could we be seeing a new Arsenal uprising in the 13/14 season? We saw towards the closing stage how Arsenal have improved defensively and offensively, and we are on an unbeaten run. The last time we lost was when we lost 2-1 to our arch-rivals Tottenham in disappointingly fashion we weren't simply at the races, but after our defeat we saw a new Arsenal that we have never seen before and that defeat made us stronger. We were 7 points behind Tottenham when we were defeated at the lane but that defeat just made our end to the season strong and it got even stronger as it rolled on.

Our stand out performer towards the end of the season was the French international Laurent Koscielny he did not have the best of starts but by the end of the campaign he ended up being one of our star performers, so he is one for sure to look out for next season, and with him being in inspired form it will not be a surprise when the big clubs start making bids for him but now that we have secured champions league qualification once again that would hopefully be a reason why Koscielny will stay at Arsenal.

I think by now that all the Arsenal fans are aware and delighted that Arsene Wenger has 70 million to spend and hopefully Mr Wenger can spend wisely and buy a couple of world-class players then there is no reason why we cannot challenge for trophies, after all, I know it hurts you when I say this, but Arsenal haven't won a major trophy since 2005, and I think its time Arsenal taste some success.

We have also started to get rid of the dead-wood and that list includes, Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and  Sebastien  Squillaci, so when you look back they haven't really contributed at the club and we should keep releasing players until we have the players that show determination, hard effort, and passion for the club, and who want to help Arsenal become a successful club again. If we take our time, because we all know Mr Wenger does take his time with his signings and doesn't buy a player until the last week of the transfer window but now we have the efficient to buy players, top quality players who can help us compete for some silverware, because over the past couple of seasons we didn't buy the best of players and we ended up sending them on loan so hopefully it will be a good transfer window for Arsenal.

This could be a new era uprising at the Emirates if we keep hold of our best players, sell the dead-wood, maybe buy a few top quality players that can help the team out in a hunt for silverware and play the Arsenal way.
